2008 Italian Festival

BikeRace Ottawa presents the 36th Italian Festival Grand Prix Criterium Races

  • Ottawa, ON, June 15, 2008
  • Total Cash: $3335 + $1000 primes
  • Entry Fee: $40 , pre-entry not required
  • One-Day Licences will be available
  • Registration opens at 12:00 noon (Preston/Norman St.)
  • Start Location: Preston/Norman Street
  • Course: Preston, Aberdeen, Rochester, Adeline, Norfolk, Carling
  • Distance per lap: 1.2 km, 6 corners
  • No feeding or handing out water bottles during any race!
  • Lapped riders will be pulled at the discretion of the commissaires.
  • Roads close at 12:30pm

  • Categories: Senior 3,4, Master 2,3, Women, Juniors
  • Distance: 50 min. + 5 laps
  • 5 places

    • 3rd $125
    • 4th $100
    • 5th $75
  • Primes : 5 merchandise @ approx $50 each

2nd Annual MorleyHoppner Kiddie Criterium

Between events will be a the 2nd Annual MorleyHoppner Kiddie Crit, a 150 meter bicycle race for children 7 and under. Presented by BRO, the Kiddie Criterium will take place at the Italian Festival Bicycle Races at 2:15pm.

  • Registration is from 1:15 – 2:00pm (at Preston and Norman)
  • Registration is a donation to the M.S. Society*
  • Race distance is 150 meters
  • Helmets are mandatory
  • Bike race for 7 years old and under
  • 2 start waves (5 and under, 6 & 7)
  • Trophies to top 3 in each wave
  • Medals to all participants
  • Coke promo pack to all registrants

    The winner of the “A “ race will also receive his weight in San Pellegrino mineral water.
